school governors
We are very lucky to have governors who are very committed to the school. There are 15 governors, 5 of whom are for parents elected by the parent body. If you are interested in becoming a parent governor please contact the clerk to the governors. The priest at Wilton Church is always a governor and other governors re chosen to represent the local church and local community. Wiltshire Council and Salisbury Diocese both provide excellent training for governors. Some of the training is held in school and some at outside venues. All governors and the clerk can be contacted through the school office.

The Governing Body is responsible for key policies guiding the school and has oversight of all aspects of its work. It meets at least 3 times a year and most governors serve on at least one of its committees. As well as discussing reports and making recommendations on various aspects of education there are governors with a particular responsibility for literacy, numeracy, SEN, Early Years, Worship and RE. The governors visit lessons and talk to subject leaders about progress in their subjects. All governors are welcome to visit the school and attend special events.
