The Education Reform Act gives groups of children particular numbers according to their age, so:
Children aged 4 to 5 years are called Reception (R)
Children aged5 to 6 years are called year 1 (Y1) (Key stage1)
Children aged6 to 7 years are called year2 (Y2)
Children aged 7 to 8 years are called year 3 (Y3)
Children aged 8 to 9 years are called year 4 (Y4) (Key stage2)
Children aged 9 to 10 years are called year 5 (Y5)
Children aged 10 to 11 years are called year 6 (Y6)
In this we organise our classes as close as possible to year groups. Classes are Currently as follows:

School Hours
Children are allowed onto the school playground from 8.40 am with their parents' supervision (children will not be allowed onto school sites before this time unless attending the breakfast club). The bell will ring at 8.45 am prompt when children will line up in their respective classes quietly and orderly; a member of staff will collect children from the playground and then take them into their classrooms to start the school day.

09.00 First period of teaching
10.30- 10.45 KS1 children to break for a social snack time
10.40-10.55 Playtime for all the school. Tuck will be available and fruit
may be brought from home.
11.00- 12.00 Second period of teaching
12.00- 12.55 Lunchtime
13.00- 15.15 Third period of teaching
There is a 10 minute afternoon break for Key Stage 1 pupils only ( R, Y1, Y2 )
3.15pm End of school day
3.15pm - 4pm After school clubs
