Sad News For Wilton And Barford
It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Mr John has decided to retire from Wilton and Barford Primary School at Easter 2008. The Governing Body are fortunate that he has given them adequate time to actively find an experienced commited leader to take our school forward. We would like to thank him for all his dedication, hard work and commitment to the school over the last 12 years and wish him happiness in his retirement, which we are pleased to say will not start until April 2008.
Rev Bede's Retirement
On the 11th of September the school said farewell to the Rev Bede Cooper in his last School assembly. The children presented him with a beautiful print, which the children all signed on the back.
We had a special celebration assembly on the 25th of September to celebrate Rev Bede Cooper's contribution to our school life as Rector. Over the years he has devoted a lot of his time being a Governor and a friend to the school. We presented him with a lovely bird bath for his garden and garden vouchers.

The children presented Mrs Cooper with flowers and the Head Boy adn Girl gave him a Wilton and Barford sweatshirt, which he wore with pride for the rest of the assembly.

After the assembly we had a little gathering with refreshments to give the guests a chance to say farewell.

We shall miss him and wish him and his family all the best for the future.
Welcome back to the new school year.

When Mr John announced that i was Head Boy i was speechless and over the moon. I felt so happy and joyful i wanted to jump up and shout.
Being Head Boy is a responsibility and i'm looking forward to representing the school which is a great honour and achievement.
Mark Blake
It's a privilage to be Head Girl because you get involved in lots of things like fund raising, cake sales etc.... You get to do stuff for the school for example reading in the church and showing people round.
