 Our topic during the first part of the Summer term will be; 

Toys and Games.

 

Literacy – The story of Pinocchio (characters) Old bear (sequencing events and changing the ending of a story) Invitation writing and poetry.

Numeracy – Designing a variety of board games (addition, subtraction, count on, count backwards, longer and shorter), Toy shop (money/measuring)

Science – Forces – Pushes and Pulls (How things move)

ICT –  Using ICT to find out information & creating an invitation

Design & Technology – Designing and making a simple rattle for a child.

Geography –  Where in the world do our toys come from?

History – Toys of the past, present and the future

PE – Outdoor games (skill based) including rounder’s.

 

Throughout the term we will be earning stickers!  Children will have a chance to earn a sticker for; completing work to a high standard, helping others and following school rules, children will unfortunately loose a sticker, if they do not follow school rules.

If Class 2 earn 100 stickers we will be having a teddy bears picnic! We will be cooking food to take as well as playing a variety of games whilst there.
